3rd Annual Ending Cancer in Our Generation Benefit Success

On September 1st, we rolled out our third annual Ending Cancer in Our Generation Benefit. For the first time in our history this was a completely online event through Ebay, between Ebay and Mission Fish, we were able to sell a majority of our items with some of them making much more than we anticipated and had to pay very little in fees (only for the items that did not sell). Due to the nature of our event, we were only able to have each listing last for ten days, this was a very big disappointment for us. However, we handled it by rolling the benefit out in a total of three waves. The first wave was our most successful raising almost $600 for our charity. Sadly though, only two of the charity paintings were able to get bids. We are working on a spring fundraiser for all the items that did not find a home during this event as well as several more that could not be listed. Please keep your eyes open for news on that event. It will be an in person event where you can buy absentee paddles so you can participate anywhere in the world! There are some great items in there already and we plan on adding so many more before then!

 

At the end of our count we raised $957.54 after paying the Paypal and EBay fees. We are so thankful to everyone who donated, who bid and all the wonderful words we have received during this event. So, with a big smile of appreciation, I am so please to shout from the rooftops: we will be giving out our two scholarships next year! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!
